 Algorithmic Bias

In the wake of the Black Lives Matter and #MeToo movements, and the long-overdue rise in awareness of racism and sexism, my role is to deeply confront my own biases, advocate for anti-racist and feminist policy, and spread awareness. Data and algorithms are becoming central to solidifying, reinforcing and hiding bias. This will only make it harder to address, unless we are very aware of their power and risks.
